Model 4716 Shgiaraki CD Transport
(comes with power supply and remote control)

The design priority of Flatfish being employed straight into the Shigaraki transport. In combination with the Shigaraki DAC, it performs so close to its senior brother Flatfish-Progression at much lower price.

The drive mechanism, the lens-actuator assembly, and the circuit board are firmly attached to the sub-chassis. Due to the use of a highly rigid housing, Shigaraki-ware ceramic, it is structured resonance free. An extremely simple digital output circuit design releases digital signals from any stress.

Specifications(Does not handle DVD & SACD)
Digital Outputs: 2 (1 DC- and 1 AC-coupled RCA)
Analog Output: none
Size: 285W x 85H x 200D mm , PSU 76W x 76H x 141D mm
Versions: Standard with magnet CD clamp (Model 4716MG) for easier CD loading/removal.
Option with acrylic plastic CD clamp (Model 4716SC) with screw lock type same as the Flatfish

Model 4715 Shigaraki D/A Converter
(comes with power supply unit)

Shigaraki DAC has almost the same circuitry as Progression DAC. Designed with non-oversampling, no digital nor analog filter, with passive I/V conversion. The DAC unit and the power supply unit are encased in Shigaraki –ware ceramic housing. Its non-conductive character makes its ound smooth and open.

Specifications
Input sampling frequency: 32KHz, 44.1KHz, 48KHz
Output Voltage: 2.1V
Digital Input: 1 S/P DIF, unbalanced
Analog Output: 1 pair, unbalanced
Size: DAC 76W x 76H x 80D mm
PSU 76W x 76H x 141D mm

Model 4717 Shigaraki Amplifier
(comes with power supply)

Shigaraki Amplifier incorporates almost the same circuitry as the Gaincard. The DAC amplifier unit features 3 inputs and 1 line out to perform as an integrated amplifier.
Like the Gaincard, Shigaraki Amplifier has incredibly versatile speaker drivability.

Specifications
Power Output: 22W + 22W / 8 ohm
Input Impedance: 22K ohms
Line Out: 1 RCA
Inputs: 3 RCA
Attenuator: Slider
Size: Amp 83W x 198D x 180H mm PSU 150W x 125H x 170D mm

4718 Shigaraki Phono
(comes with power supply unit)

This also uses the almost the same circuitry as the Model 4712 Phono Cube, housed in the same Shigaraki ware ceramic as the Model 4715 DAC, and is proud of smooth sound with fine texture in full scale stage. Difference from Model 4712 is that the power supply unit for Model 4718 is a single p.c. board and used commonly for the right and left channels. It is possible to use Model 4700 PSU for the Model 4718. (We do not accept sales of #4718 equalizer unit only.)

Specifications
Type: Current Amplification type MC Phono Equalizer
Input Impedfance: 0 ohm
Output Impedance: 47 ohms
Gain: Type A (standard) 75dB Type B (high gain) 90dB
Size: Equalizer 75W x 75H x 80D mm
PSU 75W x 75H x 145D mm

About Current Amplification: An MC cartridge output voltage is only one twentieth or thirtieth of that of an MM cartridge. However, it is not widely known that MC outrages MM in respect to "generating capacity = output voltage X output current". 47 Laboratory chose "current amplification" type instead of conventional "voltage amplification" type for our phono equalizers so that rich "generating capacity" can be fully taken in. 0 ohm input impedance of Models 4712 Phono Cube and Model 4718 Shigaraki Phono may sound strange to those who are familiar with generally known "input impedance be 47K ohm". Zero-ohm means the value of input impedance of #4712 and #4718 without being connected with a phono cartridge. When a cartridge is connected, the cartridge's internal impedance is to be taken in as the input impedance of the equalizer. So, when a 2 ohm internal impedance cartridge is used, the equalizer's input impedance becomes 2 ohm, and 3 ohm for a 3 ohm cartridge. Hence, two merits are obtained; one is perfect impedance matching between the equalizer and a cartridge drawing 100% of a cartridge potential and another is removal of negative load resistance producing neither deforming of dynamic ups and downs of music signals from the cartridge nor coloring signals by resistance.
